Every touring rider's dream: the MV Universal Backrest (adjustable)

Now redesigned: the continuously adjustable backrest for the rider.

We are the only manufacturer in the world to offer a universally adjustable backrest for motorcyclists.

The important thing here is the axial adjustability, which is a matter of 10 mm. This is determined by the rider's height, jacket, sitting position, or the tour.

It is unnatural to sit for hours without a backrest. This is not acceptable when driving a car or sitting on a chair, but motorcyclists have to live with it.

Test reports also describe the slumping of the motorcyclist as negative, which is prevented by the backrest.

The backrest significantly increases riding comfort and well-being and, surprisingly, promotes confident and relaxed behavior when cornering. The tighter you adjust the backrest, the more significantly back problems are reduced.

The backrest can be folded down in a flash to make it easier to get on the motorcycle.
After getting on, you fold it back up... and off you go.

This only raises the seat by 50 mm, so you can get on and off as usual.

All motorcyclists are familiar with the wobbling of the motorcycle when riding solo with a top case.
We have found that the swaying often disappears when a luggage roll is strapped between the backrest and the top case. Of course, it's nicer when your wife or passenger sits on the motorcycle instead of the luggage roll.

To ensure that the passenger can also sit comfortably, we recommend the cushion, which can be ordered as an option (item no. 911320P).

However, we recommend the Oxford air cushion, which we have been using ourselves for years.

It reduces the impact of broken roads by approx. 50%.

The experience of acceleration is not to be sneezed at.
You will be pressed into the backrest, just like in a race car.

Our system consists of a base plate, the upper sliding part with a predetermined breaking point, and the backrest cushion with holder. The entire system is quickly and securely fastened to the back seat with a tension belt, and thick foam rubber attached to the underside of the plate prevents it from slipping.

The base plate measures 330x290mm.

When the backrest is not in use, it can be folded up and stored in the top case.

All options are available in black. The aluminum parts are powder-coated.

The backrest is recommended for all motorcycles on which you can sit upright.
