As a frequent rider myself, covering 50,000 km a year, I was on the lookout for something and, like many others, experimented with a lambskin cover, a gel insert, then two gel inserts in the seat.
However, these only resulted in minor improvements.
Then I discovered the OXFORD Adventure & Touring seat cushion.
At first, I was concerned that I would no longer have proper contact with the bike. Fortunately, this was not the case thanks to the leg closure, which is automatic.
The most important aspect for me is that the hard knocks from broken roads are reduced by at least 50%.
In my opinion, this effect is created by the channels that connect the air chambers. The flow from one chamber to another creates a constant filling and emptying.
In plain English, this means that the impact is energy that is redirected into movement.
Since a motorcycle is a single-track vehicle, the suspension can never be as homogeneous as in a car.
The back is a sensitive part of the body and cannot withstand these hard impacts. That is why it should be protected accordingly.
